Vivian Bonder
Hi my name is Vivian, my friends call me Viv. I am a Dutchie from origin but well settled here in the meantime, at the Western side of Australia. Loving the trees, native wildlife and the ocean as well as the ever-open skies. I have been married to my SoulMate for almost 9 years now and together we have 2 wild and beautiful daughters who love creating just as much as I do.
As long as I can remember I have had a passion for anything and everything to do with paper and pens... My Dad used to work in an office environment so whenever my Mum and I went over to see him or bring him his lunch he had forgotten I used to go through his drawers to find treasures.. Paperclips and envelopes were amongst my favorite found items. He used to also 'keep' things for me, and always ask if I still ad some of these or those. Later on in life, as soon as I finished high school, I started traveling and never left my journal or watersoluble crayons behind, they were always tucked into my backpack together with a box of watercolour paints and a bag of pencils. My need to express myself through Art has been with me since I was very young and it all comes natural to me. I am totally self taught and am fortunate enough to be able to teach others what I have worked out myself. At the moment I teach mainly Art Journal (or visual journal) and canvas workshops and love doing this. I teach freelance classes in Perth for the moment, but you never know, right? Some of you may know my work through Scrapbook Creations, having been a regular contributor since the start of 2006 I have recently decided to stop compiling articles and focus more on my own mixed media and Art Journal journey and see where it will take me. Apart from my regular features in Scrapbook Creations I have also been a regular contributor for the Dutch scrapbooking magazine CmF and have had work published in Memory Makers' 'Imperfect Lives' and the August 2008 issue of Somersets' 'Artful Blogging'. I love, love, absolutely LOVE what Kris put together for me to have a play with. Her eye for coordination and colour is superb. Everything in the kit was of such awesome beauty I found it hard to start somewhere! But once I did everything just rolled together. Thank you so much for the opportunity and enjoy!"
